DVD Club International

The International DVD club was founded by a group of Anglophone parents and has since been joined by parents in the German, Spanish, Italian and Polish Sections.

Location: Second floor, central mall, between ‘collège’ and ‘lycée’.

Opening hours:

Secondary school: Tuesday, 10 am – 4 pm

Primary school: see times posted in the primary entrance hall

Cost: 35€ (further subscriptions in same family – 30€)

Person in charge: Monika Bataillard (06 61 57 57 28)

A subscription to the DVD club entitles members to borrow a DVD every week (two the week prior to the holidays) in a wide range of languages (English, German, Italian, Spanish and Polish).

More than 5500 DVDs are available to borrow.

The DVD club aims to meet the needs of students as well as teachers by:

– obtaining new DVDs as soon as they are released (the films are often available at the DVD club before their release in France);

– making available to teachers, DVDs linked to texts studied in class;

– including classic films such as Hitchcock, Charlie Chaplin and other cult films…

The DVD club is self-financing; the money raised by the subscriptions is used to buy new DVDs.

Around ten volunteers help to maintain the efficient running of the DVD club.

If you would like to help us, please contact Monika Bataillard (06 61 57 57 28). New volunteers are always welcome.
