Isabelle Darlow, Présidente
Isabelle is French and married to Peter who is British. They both lived in London for 4 years before moving to Lyon in 2003.
Isabelle graduated in Marketing and Management from EMLyon, and worked in design, services, and publishing for 10 years. She also got involved in a number of associations at the CSI from running the primary library, to the conseil d’école and Intersec that she ran for 5 years. She developped many new projects including design and sale of CSI tshirts and hoodies, welcome booklet, careers day and carnival. Both her children attend the CSI collège.
She joined the board in October 2014, and has been President of the APESA for one year.

Karen Reilly, Secrétaire
Karen was born and educated in Australia. After completing her PhD in Neuroscience at The University of Western Australia she worked at the University of Rochester (New York) for 4 years.
Knowing only 4 words of French she moved to Lyon in 2004 to work for the French National Centre for Scientific Research. Her husband is French and she has two children Hannah and Fleur.
Clarisse Lapillone, vice-secretary
Clarisse has dual French/American nationality. Married to Hervé, she has 2 children one of whom is currently in 4ème at the CSI. She has an engineer diploma and more than 10 years experience in HR consultancy (recruitment, job seeking, coaching, training etc). The family returned in Lyon in August 2013 after 3 years spent in India (Hyderabad). Clarisse during these 3 years got involved in an expat association and different NGOs. She joined the board in 2013.
Born in Normandy, Sylvie grew up next to the D Day beaches. She then moved to different places to complete her studies including California and got a Master in International Business along with a Human Resources degree. After starting her career in Germany, she worked several years mainly as an HR Manager on industrial sites in the Automotive industry, In 1999 she moved downunder to enjoy the Australian nature and to encounter some fascinating adventures with the wildlife. She finally stayed in Sydney for 15 years and became a real Aussie. Her 3 children were born and raised there before moving to Lyon in August 2014. They are currently in 2de, 5e and 6e. Sylvie is still working as an HR Business Partner for an ONG and has joined the board since 2015.
Ratna is from Bali, Indonesia, married to Thibault and they have 3 children in CSI, twins girls in 2nde, English section and a boy in CM2 Chinese section. The family moved to Lyon in 2012 after spending almost 13 years in Beijing. She has worked for over 11 years in the area of business development and executive search in Asia and Europe. Previous to Beijing, Ratna lived in Sydney, Australia where she obtained her Bachelor degree in Political Science from Macquarie University and Masters in Communication Management from University of Technology Sydney. Ratna speaks Indonesian and English fluently, upper intermediate level of Mandarin and intermediate level of French. She joins the APESA Board in 2014 and was re-elected in 2016.
Esther is originally Swiss-German, and subsequently became French and American. She lived in France for 20 years from age 9 to 29 and for a good part of that time, went to the Lycee International of St. Germain-en-Laye. After legal studies with a focus on healthcare and bar exams both in France and in the US, she worked as an Associate Lawyer for several well-known law firms before starting to work for Pfizer, a large pharmaceutical company, based out of New York for 10 years.
Esther and her family just moved to Lyon in September 2014 after 15 years spent in the US. Her husband is American and active in the performing arts as an actor, director and producer of theatre. She is the General Counsel of Sanofi Pasteur MSD. Their children Stella and Jonah Gilroy are in CE2 and 6e respectively.
