Class / grade equivalences

The school year in France begins in September and ends in late June or early July. Students are admitted however according to their birth date in a civil year except where the class/grade they are in in their home country does not correspond directly to this system. In this case they will be tested for the former.
The CSI teaches children from CP through to Terminale. There is no Ecole maternelle (Kindergarten).
